Alaska Sea Adventures is available year around for a variety of research projects throughout the Southeast Alaska region. The Northern Song provides excellent mobile logistical support base facilities for teams up to 6 members and can be expanded to accommodate more with the use of additional vessels.
Recent research projects charters include;
- University of British Columbia (Steller Sea Lion studies)
- National Oceans & Atmospheric Association / Auke Bay Lab (acoustical fish biomass assessments)
- University of Alaska / Cascadia Research (humpback whale identification and biopsy)
- USFS (archaeology/anthropology rock art recording)
Research Sponsorship

- Anthropology
- Archaeology
- Cave / karst exploration
- Geology
- Glaciology
- Marine biology
- Marine mammal studies
- Oceanography

Opportunities to sponsor a research project(s) is possible. ASA is associated with technical experts from a variety of fields, with many projects requiring new and/or additional funding sources to continue.
