A trip to Alaska means fishing to many visitors. While we do enjoy some fishing on the Northern Song, we do not have any fishing specific charters. If desired, there are opportunities to catch halibut, crab and shrimp on most charters as well as salmon on August and September charters. Northern Song features two safe and comfortable hard bottom inflatable boats to set and retrieve crab traps, access a remote beach for a clam dig or reach the entrance of a remote rainforest island stream to cast for trout or check out a stream filled with salmon on their way to spawning grounds up stream.
Fresh and saltwater fishing gear is provided as well as shrimp and crab traps. Your catch is filleted and frozen on board and final processing and packing is arranged for you in Petersburg for shipping or to take with you on your return flight.
August and September of us fantastic opportunities to spin cast for ocean bright silver salmon. These very plentiful 10-pound average coho salmon are remarkable fighters and a real thrill to hook and play.
Once you have reserved dates for your yacht charter, we’ll work with you to create the perfect customized itinerary for an ideal Alaskan adventure tailored to meet your family or group’s preferences. Many of our family or couples custom charters combine an exciting mix of activities since the Inside Passage offers such tremendous diversity of scenery, beachcombing, glaciers, photography, wildlife viewing and the whales. Whales, everyday, everywhere!
Current Federal halibut regulations allow for retention on a single halibut 43 inches or under per angler per day with a maximum of two halibut in possession.
Give us a call or drop us an email to inquire about reserving your dates for a custom Alaska charter on the Northern Song.
